Meetings

Meetings of the Toronto Transportation Society are held on the second Monday of each month from September through June (except for the September and October meetings when we meet on the third Monday, due to the Toronto International Film Festival and Thanksgiving Day respectively. Adjustments will also be made when Easter Monday and Remembrance Day conflict with the second Monday of the month).

(Please note: Meeting times and presenters are subject to change without notice.)

Monthly meetings are held at Metro Hall, located at 55 John Street (in downtown Toronto) on the third floor, with the exception of Memorabilia Night, which is held elsewhere.

To get to Metro Hall via TTC, take the Yonge-University-Spadina subway to St. Andrew Station and walk west from University Avenue, along King Street to John Street. The 504 King streetcar also stops across the street at King St. & John St. Metro Hall is also a short walk from GO Transit services at Union Station.

Meetings commence at 7:00 PM sharp and consist of a short business meeting followed with entertainment provided by a featured Society member or outside guest. The TTS tries to vary the topic of the entertainment to include any and all forms of transportation in the Greater Toronto Area. All members are welcome to attend meetings and are encouraged to bring a friend.

The January meeting is devoted to our Annual General Meeting. At this meeting, elections are held for TTS Executive Positions and the positions of Webmaster and Transfer Points Editor are ratified by the membership, upon recommendation by the Executive.

Memorabilia Night is held once per year (usually in May), and is devoted to an auction of transit collections; a small percentage of all sales benefits the Society.
